Spring is Springing Up All Over
The weekend that my family visited for Easter was hardly ideal spring weather. Lots of April showers with no real indication of impending proverbial flowers, but we braved it all the same. My parents' 25th wedding anniversary is next month, so they wanted to get some family portraits done while they were in town. We rang up our amazing wedding photographer Bekah and spent a gloomy Saturday morning at the Garfield Park Conservatory willing spring to come with all our hearts (and all our wardrobes).
We have another anniversary coming up next month - our own (one year!). We are going to Japan for two weeks to celebrate, and I'm debating getting a few photos taken by a local photographer while we are there. I've always been the biggest photo-taking, photo-keeping freak ever (I can't even tell you about my scrapbooking days) and I know it sometimes borders on "extra", but I have to believe that no long-married couple would really look back and regret capturing the sweet and simple moments of their youth, right? I'm thankful I have parents who get the importance of that too.
