Our Merry Little Christmas
When it comes to decorating our little apartment for the holidays, most of our conversations go something like this...
Me: "Hey babe! Let's buy [something fabulous and festive]!"
Tim: "I love you. But we can't buy a whole home's worth of Christmas decorations in one year!"
Now I know my husband is right, but that doesn't mean I can't start my holiday collection nevertheless. When I was in high school, I found a large box full of vintage pink Christmas ornaments at a dinky thrift shop in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I held onto them for years and, this December, finally put them on a tree of our own. We've only bought a few "special" ornaments so far, but I know we will gather more in the future!
I found these quirky and colorful wooden trees on Etsy and couldn't resist the mini splurge.
We bought the boxwood wreath at Trader Joe's and I found the gold lantern at a Goodwill.
